The Story Behind The Collaboration

Great sound begins with deep expertise, and few understand sound like Yamaha.

For more than 100 years, Yamaha has shaped the world of music through its craftsmanship, acoustic expertise, and passion for sound. Bringing together its heritage in musical instruments and advanced audio technology, Yamaha helps create a listening experience crafted with professional-level precision.

Since 2020, Mitsubishi Motors and Yamaha have worked together to develop a premium in-car audio system that captures the spirit of Mitsubishi — powerful, comfortable, and emotionally engaging for every passenger.

The result is Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium, debuting in the Xforce as the first collaboration between Yamaha and Mitsubishi Motors.

Fine Tuned By Yamaha's Sound Meisters

Sound Meisters are expert practitioners of the art of sound. They feel the passion embedded in every musical performance and recreate it with stunning accuracy. Sensing the subtle emotions expressed in every note - aware of the artist's every breath - they shape the sound with such realism that it seems that every performance is taking place right in front of you.

Premium Aesthetic & Design

The Mitsubishi Xforce elevates its cabin experience with Yamaha speaker grilles designed to look as premium as they sound.

The front door speaker grille is finished with a sleek piano black accent and a crisp white Yamaha logo, adding a refined touch of luxury to the cabin.

At the rear, the speaker grille features distinctive “Yamaha Coaxial 2way” lettering in white and red, highlighting its premium audio character.

The tweeter grille is crafted from thin punched metal with a high opening ratio, allowing clear, detailed sound to flow effortlessly throughout the cabin.

Immersive Audio, Tuned For Every Passenger

Expertly tuned by Yamaha’s Sound Meisters, the Mitsubishi Xforce’s 8-speaker configuration creates a dynamic sound space that fills the entire cabin. The result is a private concert hall on the move, delivering exceptional acoustic clarity, balance, and depth across every musical genre.

Engineered Speaker Placement For Rich, Refined Cabin Sound

8 Speakers (4 Door Woofers + 4 Tweeters)

The Mitsubishi Xforce surrounds passengers with thoughtfully positioned speakers, combining door-mounted front speakers with A-pillar tweeters for crisp, focused detail, while the rear coaxial speakers integrate the woofer and tweeter into the rear doors to deliver a rich, balanced sound experience throughout the cabin.

Deadening for Inner Panel

The door is utilized as a speaker enclosure by covering the service holes with the service hole cover (light blue areas), which allows for sufficient production of low-pitched sound.

Four Listening Position Ensure The Optimal Sound

Speed Compensated Volume (SCV)

As speed increases, so does ambient noise. SCV automatically adjust the volume to compensate. Beyond that, it modifies the equalization or tonal quality of the music, adjusting the sound frequencies most affected. You can choose from five settings that correspond to various noise levels. Even at high speeds or on rough roads, you'll hear every note and enjoy every nuance of the music you love.

General SCV

Sound pressure in all frequency bands increases in propotion to the vehicle speed.

Mitsubishi Motors' Special SCV & Equalizer

Bass masking can become noticeable while driving on rough roads where road noise is likely to occur. However, with correction mainly in the low-frequency range, you can enjoy well-balanced sound even while driving on such roads.
