The milestone celebration will take center stage at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, happening from 9 to 15 May 2025 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).

Two Decades of Automotive Excellence

Since its establishment in 2005, MMM has consistently delivered vehicles known for its reliability, driving performance, and adventurous spirit.

To date, more than 200,000 Mitsubishi vehicles have been delivered to Malaysian drivers, a testament to the brand’s ability to meet evolving lifestyles and preferences while earning the loyalty of its customers.

Mitsubishi Motors has opened its 19th 3S outlet in Klang Valley, located in Kajang

Kuala Lumpur, 28 April 2025 – MITSUBISHI MOTORS MALAYSIA (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Malaysia, and authorized dealer Millennium Autohaus Sdn Bhd opened its latest Mitsubishi Motors 3S Centre (Sales, Service & Spare Parts) in Kajang recently. This latest expansion increases the Mitsubishi Motors dealer network to 19 3S centres in the Klang Valley.

Strategically situated at Lot 1872A, Jalan Semenyih, Kajang 43500, Selangor, the new showroom is poised to cater to the growing customer base in Kajang and its surrounding areas.

Built on a 15,800 square-foot land area with a 9,600 square-foot facility, the showroom is designed to deliver a complete Mitsubishi brand experience, offering both sales and after-sales services with enhanced convenience for customers.

"We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with Millennium Autohaus through the opening of this new Mitsubishi Motors outlet in Kajang. This latest expansion increases the Mitsubishi Motors dealer network to 18 3S centres in the Klang Valley.

Strategically located at No 4, Jalan Gangsa, Kawasan Perindustrian Teluk Panglima Garang, 42500 Teluk Panglima Garang, this new facility marks a significant milestone in MN Wheels' commitment to expanding its presence and enhancing customer accessibility to Mitsubishi Motors' products and services.

The new outlet boasts a land size area of 27,000 square feet and a building size of 10,000 square feet, providing ample space for a comfortable showroom and service center, equipped with Mitsubishi Motors diagnostic tools.

Event Highlights:
All-New Triton Obstacle Test Drive
Experience motorsports-derived handling by test driving the all-new Triton through obstacle courses including side traverse, water wading, hill climb, gravel pit, mud pit, and articulation crawler.

Navigate challenging obstacles using Triton’s key features, the Super Select 4WD-II system, which offers four options: 2H (rear-wheel drive), 4H (full-time four-wheel drive), 4HLc (locked center differential), and 4LLc (locked center differential with lower gears). All-New Triton Wins 2024-2025 Japan Car of the Year Design Award

Tokyo, 6 December 2024 – Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (hereafter, Mitsubishi Motors) announced that the all-new Triton one-ton pickup truck has won the Design Car of the Year, awarded to car with excellent exterior and interior design, at the 2024-2025 Japan Car of the Year awards1. This is the second time that Mitsubishi Motors has received this award, following last year's recognition for the Delica Mini super height-wagon kei-car2.

In awarding the Design Car of the Year, the organizing committee commended Mitsubishi Motors for giving its signature 4WD a rugged yet inspiring design that encourages customers to explore a new lifestyle. The Triton was also recognized for its robust form that harmonizes with the bold Dynamic Shield front-end design, as well as its well-balanced proportions despite being a double cab.

Based on the “Beast Mode” design concept, the all-new Triton embodies the toughness and power expected of a pickup truck. It boasts an imposing look, expressing robustness as well as agility. The Dynamic Shield front design concept, which expresses both powerful performance and a sense of protection, is optimized for a pickup truck by combining robust, three-dimensional front grille with powerful fenders and protectors that emphasize its shape.

Inside, the instrument panel has been designed with the Horizontal Axis concept, featuring a strong, horizontally-themed design that allows drivers to easily notice changes in the vehicle’s posture while driving. With a nod to professional use, soft pads have been incorporated in key areas to protect passengers, while geometric shapes and metallic elements create a high-contrast, modern space. The switches are designed to be clearly visible, and the dials and switches can be operated even while wearing gloves. Following the Mitsubishi Touch approach, the steering wheel, grips and door handles are designed with a focus on grip comfort and sturdiness.

The Triton is a one-ton pickup truck that traces its roots back to the Forte, originally released in 1978. Since then, about 5.7 million units have been produced over five generations and sold in approximately 150 countries around the world, making it Mitsubishi Motors' global strategic model.

Developed under the product concept of “Power for Adventure,” the all-new Triton features a complete overhaul of everything from the interior and exterior design to the chassis, ladder frame, and engine. It was first launched in Thailand – where its production plant is located – in July 2023 and introduced in Japan in February 2024. The all-new Triton is being rolled out sequentially in some 100 countries worldwide. In addition to commercia use, this distinctively Mitsubishi one-ton pickup truck caters to customers’ adventurous spirit, opening up the possibilities for water sports, winter sports, and outdoor activities.

About the 2024-2025 Japan Car of the Year

The awards of the 45th Japan Car of the Year were given to models which premiered or started sales in the Japanese market from November 1, 2023, to October 31, 2024. The 10 Best Cars were selected on November 6, and after the 10 Best test drive on November 26, the jury voted for each award. The results were announced on December 5, and winners were selected for the 2024-2025 Japan Car of the Year, Import Car of the Year, Design Car of the Year, and Technology Car of the Year.

Kuala Lumpur, 4 December 2024 – MITSUBISHI MOTORS MALAYSIA (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Malaysia, will exhibit at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 from 5 – 11 December 2024 at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

KLIMS is available to the public from 11.00 am -10.00 pm on weekdays with an entrance fee of RM20 and 10.00 am-10.00 pm on weekends with a fee of RM25.

Located at Level 2, booth 3A01, MMM will be showcasing the Drive your Ambition theme. The Drive your Ambition theme by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) is a powerful statement reflecting the brand's commitment to innovation, adventure, and customer-centric values. Kuala Lumpur, 16 October 2024 – MITSUBISHI MOTORS MALAYSIA (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Malaysia, officially launched the sixth-generation Mitsubishi Triton pick-up truck today. The all-new Triton arrives with five variants and is a groundbreaking replacement from the previous model, setting new standards in innovation, performance, and design.

The launch of the all-new Mitsubishi Triton marks a significant milestone in Mitsubishi Motors’ commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions, with an emphasis on providing outstanding driving confidence and superior handling to meet the evolving needs of pick-up truck customers, from adventure-seekers to business entrepreneurs.

The introductory prices for the all-new Triton (on-the-road without insurance) below are for registration by 31 December 2024 only.

The all-new Triton Athlete also comes with a 5-year warranty with unlimited mileage, for bookings made by December 2024. The rest of the variants come with a 5-year warranty, or 200,000km mileage, whichever comes first.

MMM is also offering an exclusive 60L folding storage box worth RM450 as an early bird gift for the first 500 customers who place a booking for the all-new Triton via the Mitsubishi Online Showroom.

The Triton, known for its superior handling, durability, robustness and drivability, as well as comfort, has been well received globally for private and business use.

The key features of the all-new Triton are as highlighted below:

  • A bigger body size compared to the previous model, built on the newly developed frame chassis that provides high levels of durability and reliability.
  • A new engine that achieves both higher outputs and improved environmental performance.
  • Newly developed suspension that provides excellent ride comfort and steering stability. Super Select 4WD-II system and upgraded drive modes that enable highly versatile road performance.
  • New robust styling, and a sporty interior offering excellent functionality and operability.
  • Improved safety and comfort for a wide range of purposes, from business to personal use.

The all-new Triton comes in double cab and single cab variants, depending on the user’s intended use. The double cab comes with two rows of seats offering both the comfort of an SUV and the utility of a pick-up truck, while the single cab comes with only one row of seats for practical usage.

New Hyperpower clean diesel engine and new frame chassis

The newly developed Hyperpower 4N16 diesel engine comes in different output specifications to meet different purposes.

The high-output version in the Triton Athlete is equipped with a new 2.4L ‘two-stage’ turbo charging system for a maximum output of 204PS, 150kW of power, and maximum torque of 470Nm at a lower rev range, offering a balance of performance & efficiency.

The other Triton variants are equipped with a 2.4L 4N16 Turbo Diesel producing a maximum output of 184 PS and maximum torque of 430 Nm. The Single Cab is also equipped with a clean and efficient 2.4L diesel engine that produces a maximum output of 184 PS and maximum torque of 430 Nm.

The all-new Triton comes with either a six-speed automatic transmission featuring the highly acclaimed Sports mode from the previous model, or a six-speed manual transmission designed to reduce vibrations directly transmitted from the engine and improving comfort.

The newly developed frame chassis is rigorously tested and proven in the harshest terrains. Built with high-tensile materials, it is designed to withstand the toughest conditions and ensure reliable performance.

The new frame chassis has a 65% greater cross-sectional area than the previous model, achieving a bending rigidity increase of 40% and a torsional rigidity increase of 60%. Furthermore, weight increase has been minimized by increasing the ratio of high-tensile steel used.

Improved road performance through newly developed suspension and a mature 4WD system

The 4WD system enables the driver to easily shift to 4WD mode while driving by using a dial selector. The Triton Athlete continues to feature Mitsubishi Motors' Super Select 4WD-II, while the other variants are equipped with the Easy Select 4WD system.

The Triton Athlete equipped with the Super Select 4WD-II system offers the ability to select from the four options of 2H (rear-wheel drive), 4H (full-time four-wheel drive), 4HLc (locked center differential) and 4LLc (locked center differential with lower gears), which works in tandem with the seven drive modes including on-road modes - an increase over the four off-road modes in the previous model.

Along with Normal mode that is available in all 4WD modes, 2H offers Eco mode for prioritization of economy, 4H offers Gravel and Snow modes, 4HLc offers Mud and Sand modes for traction performance, while 4LLc provides Rock mode, allowing drivers to select the optimum drive mode for any condition.

The all-new Triton’s other variants equipped with Easy Select 4WD offer 2H (rear-wheel drive), 4H (locked center differential), and 4L (for low-gear driving).

The Triton Athlete also comes with a newly adopted Active Yaw Control (AYC) system that improves cornering performance by applying light braking to the inside front wheel when cornering. By applying the brake to a spinning wheel and distributing the driving torque to wheels gripping the road surface, it improves safety on slippery surfaces while also providing a sporty driving experience.

Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing (MMSS)

Selected variants of the all-new Triton also feature a comprehensive suite of safety systems, such as Forward Collision Mitigation System (FCM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Sport Warning with Lane Change Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert among others, to instil every journey with peace of mind.

Active Stability & Traction Control (ASTC) that improves stability on winding roads is equipped as standard on all models. Other systems include Hill Descent Control (HDC), which maintains a set speed on downhill slopes to enable driving with confidence, and Hill Start Assist (HSA), which prevents roll-back in hill starts.

Beast Mode design concept

The all-new Triton combines agility with Mitsubishi Motors' robust design to create an imposing look while expressing the toughness expected of a pick-up truck.

The front face Dynamic Shield design concept expresses the all-new Triton’s powerful performance and confidence-inspiring abilities. It evokes a sense of strength and protection through a robust, three-dimensional front grille design and accentuated fenders.

The daytime running lights feature three L-shaped LED lights resembling the sharp gaze of a hawk, which works in combination with the three-dimensional, three-light headlights below them. The design creates a truly commanding presence for the all-new Triton.

The solid surfaces continue alongside the body up to the rear end where the tailgate opens easily and offers access to the enlarged cargo bed. The T-shaped taillights emphasize width while accentuating the all-new Triton’s sturdy rear aesthetics.

The all-new Triton’s interior design concept revolves around clean, geometric shapes and metallic elements to create a high-contrast, modern space.

The glove box, smartphone holder, and other storage areas are generously sized, which enables ease of use. The instrument panel and center console have USB sockets for charging devices, while the Triton Athlete also comes with a wireless charger tucked neatly away at the bottom centre of the dashboard.

Kuala Lumpur, 14 October 2024 – MITSUBISHI MOTORS MALAYSIA (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Malaysia, and authorized dealer Lajina Motors Sdn Bhd opened the third Mitsubishi Motors 3S Centre (Sales, Service & Spare Parts) in Terengganu recently. This latest expansion increases the Mitsubishi Motors dealer network to 61 showrooms nationwide.

Situated at Lot 3309-3310, Jalan Padang Luas, Taman Pelangat 2 22000, Jerteh. Terengganu, the showroom is located along the main road from Kota Bharu to Kuala Terengganu, a prime location for all customers staying within the vicinity.

With a built-up area of 3,600 square feet, the 3S Centre presents Mitsubishi Motors’ brand identity and works in concert with the global brand message ‘Drive your Ambition’.

In addition to housing a comfortable customer lounge with Wi-Fi and a kid’s corner, the outlet has a fully equipped service centre with several service bays ready to service every Mitsubishi car within the community.

“As MMM progressively launches new Mitsubishi Motors models in Malaysia, we want to ensure our customers have greater coverage and accessibility of showrooms and service centers in an area convenient to them. Thus, through this strategic move of opening a new showroom today, we aim to cover untapped locations and extend our sales and services to an even wider audience in Jerteh,” said Shinya Ikeda, Chief Executive Officer of MMM.
