Features in Triton

The Triton is fitted with a Hybrid Limited Slip Differential (LSD) (LSD is not available for Triton STD, Triton Lite and Triton Single Cab) that gives excellent off-road response. Hybrid LSD combines the torque-sensing benefit of helical gears and the speed-sensing of a viscous coupling unit, all designed to work alongside ABS (Anti Lock Braking System) and EBD (Electronic Brake Distributor), which are standard.

Power is channeled to the wheels via Mitsubishi’s Easy Select 4WD system which allows the driver to ‘shift on the fly’ from 2WD to 4WD at speeds of up to 100km/h.

Unique to the Triton, its informative RV meter displays travel data such as range, average speed, fuel consumption and also a digital compass, barometer, altimeter and outer temperature.

Field Fix Campaign for Mitsubishi Mirage...

Campaign to replace Front Wheel Speed Sensor

Kuala Lumpur, 3 April 2013 – Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, has announced a ‘Field Fix Campaign’ for 1,869 Mitsubishi Mirage cars sold from 6 November 2012 to 31 March 2013 in order to undertake a preventive and safety measure to replace the Front Wheel Speed Sensor. This exercise was initiated by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) in Japan, the principal of Mitsubishi Motors.

Although there have not been any incidents in Malaysia, this exercise was necessary as there have been some imperfections found on the Front Wheel Speed Sensor that could partially compromise the braking performance of the Mirage.

The company has issued notification letters to the affected customers and full cost will be borne by Mitsubishi Motors for the improvement of the Mirage.

“We sincerely apologise to our customers and regret the inconvenience caused by this predicament. It is our priority to put our customer’s safety first without compromising the quality of the product we offer,” said Mr. Tetsuya Oda, Chief Executive Officer of MMM.

MMM kindly request valued customers to make an appointment at any of our Mitsubishi Motors authorized service centres nationwide for the replacement of the above which is an hour’s process.
